Cávado River

Rising in the Larouco Mountain Range, in the municipality of Montalegre, the Cávado River flows for approximately 135 km before emptying into the Atlantic Ocean at Esposende. Throughout its course, it has shaped the landscape, sustained communities, and contributed to the biodiversity and economic development of Northern Portugal.
