Rock-Cut Wine Presses

These two rock-cut wine presses illustrate different solutions used in traditional wine production. Carved into a granite outcrop, they preserve treading tanks, drainage channels, a collecting vat, and numerous cuttings associated with the pressing system. Reused stone elements incorporated into the adjacent wall further testify to the long history of occupation and use of this site.
